Senior Node.js Developer - Express.js/TypeScript

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Node.js Backend Developer with deep expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications and microservices.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with modern backend frameworks, databases, and cloud infrastructure, along with a strong understanding of system design and API architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.

- Build and manage microservices architecture with proper fault tolerance and performance optimization.

- Integrate and manage data storage solutions using MySQL, and Redis.

- Develop secure and efficient RESTful APIs and real-time communication with Socket.io.

- Implement and manage AWS services (S3, SQS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CDK) for deployment and scalability.

- Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software products.

- Ensure code quality and consistency using modern tools and best practices.

- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Essential Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.

- Experience with Express.js or similar frameworks.

- Solid understanding of MySQL, and Redis.

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (S3, SQS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CDK).

- Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Knowledge of Socket.io for real-time event-driven communication.

Desirable Skills :

- Experience with Keycloak or similar Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.

- Familiarity with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe).

- Experience in media processing using FFmpeg.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, especially Bitbucket Pipelines.

- Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.

- Familiarity with code quality and linting tools like ESLint and Prettier.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven track record of delivering high-quality backend solutions in production environments.

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have :

- Experience in direct client communication.

- Exposure to AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Redis, or OpenAI APIs.
