Senior Manager - Application System Development

As a Senior Manager at Global Payments, you will take ownership for the delivery of business critical products.

We are looking for someone to manage a delivery team that can lead innovation, drive improvements, set technical direction, and consistently meet the needs of the business.

You will :

- Manage technical talent acquisition, growth and retention.

- Work with product and key stakeholders to set desired product roadmaps.

- Drive critical improvements to stay ahead of the growing business needs.

- Evaluate new technologies and delivery practices.

- Drive accurate and efficient project estimates.

- Create project plans, identify dependencies and risks, and allocate resources.

- Develop capacity plans and skills assessments.

- Stay up to date on the latest security threats and secure application design and coding practices.

- Manage third party consultants.

- Lead the design, craftsmanship, availability, resilience, security and scalability of your solutions.

- Foster a culture to stay on top of technology trends and participate in technology communities.

- Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.

- Lead and mentor a team of development, quality assurance, and support engineers.

- Simultaneously drive multiple large initiatives potentially across multiple scrum teams.

- Prepare and present technical presentations and project status.

- Provide required information for the annual budget.

Basic Qualifications :

- 3 years or more experience in software development management.

- 13 years or more experience in .NET and/or java software development.

- Expert level proficiency in agile practices and project management.

- Real-time processing and high-volume service development experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

- 4+ years experience in software development management.

- Experience developing and managing cloud solutions.

- Payments industry experience.
