Senior Java Developer - AEM + AKS Engineer

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Developer - AEM + AKS Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, AEM, REST APIs, Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a hands-on engineering environment, building scalable Java applications, developing APIs, and deploying and managing cloud-native applications on AKS.

Recent hands-on experience with AKS and Kubernetes is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications.

- Develop, integrate, and maintain REST APIs and contribute to API design and architecture.

- Work extensively with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for application development and integrations.

- Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.

- Design, implement, and manage applications running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

- Work with Kubernetes, Helm, deployments, services, autoscaling, and related components.

- Work with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, or similar technologies.

- Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, engineering, and development teams.

- Troubleshoot application, deployment, integration, and performance issues.

- Leverage modern AI-assisted coding and development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.

- Work with CDN technologies, with Akamai experience preferred.

- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, performance optimization, and engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 12+ years of overall IT experience preferred.

- 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience.

- 4+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience.

- 5+ years of REST API development experience.

- 2+ years of REST API design experience.

- 3+ years of Microsoft Azure experience.

- 5+ years of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) experience.

- Strong and recent hands-on experience with AKS and Kubernetes.

- 3+ years of Kubernetes experience.

- 2+ years of recent experience with NoSQL databases.

- 3+ years of CDN experience, with Akamai preferred.

- 1+ year of experience using AI-assisted coding/development tools.

- Strong coding, debugging, system design, architecture, and problem-solving skills.

Ideal Candidate :

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise across: Java + AEM + REST APIs + Azure + AKS + Kubernetes + NoSQL + CDN.

Candidates should have strong development fundamentals and be comfortable working across application development, API design, cloud deployment, and containerized environments, with recent AKS/Kubernetes experience being essential.

Additional Requirements :

- Strong understanding of cloud-native application development.

- Experience working with CI/CD and modern deployment practices is preferred.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and architecture teams.
