Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator

Role Summary :

We're looking for a hands-on, senior IT Infrastructure Administrator who can independently own end-to-end IT operations and support not just execute tickets, but drive infrastructure decisions, troubleshoot complex issues without heavy oversight, and support users and systems across India and other regional offices. This is a senior individual-contributor role requiring strong technical depth, ownership, and the judgment to operate with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own end-to-end infrastructure support across India and other regional locations, acting as the primary escalation point for infrastructure and operations issues.

- Develop powershell scripting for automation.

- Lead installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of workstation hardware, software, and SaaS platforms - including diagnosing root causes, not just applying fixes.

- Manage and monitor network infrastructure and associated devices (desktops, servers, routers, firewalls, WAPs) proactively, identifying risks before they become incidents.

- Drive equipment lifecycle management : patching, updates, service packs, hardware refresh cycles, and asset tracking.

- Independently manage vendor relationships and coordinate with regional stakeholders/business users across time zones.

- Support and troubleshoot business-critical applications (MS Windows, MS Office 365) and maintain client/server architecture reliability.

- Contribute to infrastructure planning and process improvement this role is expected to bring judgment and initiative, not just execute defined tasks.

- Ensure consistent, high-quality support delivery and act as a dependable point of contact for leadership on infrastructure matters.

Required Experience & Skills :

- 6 - 12 years of hands-on IT infrastructure administration experience, ideally supporting multi-country or multi-office environments.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive resolution of complex technical issues with minimal supervision.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and client/server architecture.

- Proven experience supporting distributed teams India plus at least one other regional geography preferred.

- Track record of reliability, ownership, and strong communication/stakeholder management, this role interfaces directly with business leadership.

Preferred / Strongly Valued :

- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure/subscription management.

- Microsoft server architecture : Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.

- Network-level troubleshooting of Layer 2/3 switches and enterprise firewalls.

- Prior experience in a GCC, professional services, financial services, or investment firm environment (given the scale and confidentiality expectations of the role).
