Design and develop distributed, high-availability systems in Go, Python, and Node.js
Contribute to and uphold engineering best practices and coding standards established by the team
Implement and optimize AWS infrastructure with a focus on scalability, cost, security, and resilience across EKS, OpenShift, and serverless/compute services
Build and maintain automation pipelines across CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, testing, and operations
Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to architecture discussions
Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive code review feedback
Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis, and long-term reliability improvements
Stay current on new tools and technologies and propose adoption where there is clear value

Preferred candidate profile:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
57 years of software engineering experience with meaningful exposure to distributed systems
Strong proficiency in Go and Python, with working knowledge of Node.js in polyglot service environments
Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services, including container orchestration on EKS
Experience running and operating workloads on Red Hat OpenShift as an enterprise Kubernetes platform
Experience implementing automation frameworks and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals: consistency models, fault tolerance, service mesh, messaging systems (Kafka, SQS/SNS), and data partitioning
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and client-facing team settings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
