We are looking for an experienced Senior Firmware Development Engineer with strong expertise in storage firmware and embedded systems. The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and debugging firmware for high-performance storage products, with strong hands-on experience in low-level programming and system-level debugging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize firmware for storage products and embedded systems.
- Define and implement firmware architecture for storage devices and related embedded platforms.
- Develop robust, high-performance firmware using C/C++.
- Work on RTOS and bare-metal firmware development.
- Debug complex firmware and hardware issues at the system level.
- Perform low-level debugging using JTAG, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement firmware optimizations.
- Collaborate with hardware, validation, system, and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop automation and debugging utilities using Python, Perl, Shell, or Lua.
- Conduct code reviews, contribute to technical design discussions, and ensure firmware quality and reliability.
- Support product integration, validation, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to firmware engineers.
Required Skills:
- 15-20 years of experience in firmware/embedded software development, preferably in storage or related products.
- Strong hands-on expertise in C/C++.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and firmware architecture.
- Extensive experience with RTOS and bare-metal development.
- Strong experience in storage firmware development, debugging, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with JTAG, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Strong low-level debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Python, Perl, Shell, or Lua for scripting and automation.
- Strong understanding of embedded software development, debugging, testing, and release processes.
- Excellent technical communication and leadership skills.
