Role Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and inspire dynamic engineering teams. This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise and leadership acumen, where youll act as both a hands-on contributor and a mentor, ensuring technical excellence and timely project delivery.

Core Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Drive the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, high-quality software systems.

- Provide hands-on coding support when required while ensuring technical direction and alignment.

- Conduct thorough code reviews, establish coding standards, and champion DevOps best practices.

- Collaborate closely with product managers and technical leads to align solutions with business goals.

Project Execution :

- Work with project managers to define scope, timelines, and delivery milestones.

- Anticipate and resolve technical or process challenges that may impact progress.

- Track and analyze engineering performance metrics to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.

- Oversee root cause analysis and ensure learnings from incidents are implemented effectively.

People & Team Management :

- Mentor and guide engineers to help them advance in their careers.

- Conduct 1 : 1 discussions, performance evaluations, and provide actionable feedback.

- Support recruitment initiatives, onboarding, and fostering a collaborative team culture.

- Build an environment that encourages innovation, ownership, and accountability.

Requirements :

Professional Background :

- 1015 years of overall experience in software development.

- At least 8 years of hands-on coding experience.

- Minimum 2 years in an engineering leadership or management capacity.

- Demonstrated success in mentoring or leading engineering teams.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering (Masters or MBA is advantageous).

Technical Expertise :

- Proficiency in backend technologies : Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.

- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.

- In-depth understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.

Leadership & Communication :

- Proven ability to lead technical discussions and solve complex engineering problems.

- Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and business stakeholders.

- Experience thriving in fast-paced, agile environments with multiple priorities.
