Role overview :

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize AWS RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL) environments. This role focuses on performance, reliability, security, and automation, working closely with DevOps and engineering teams to support business-critical applications.

Mandatory Requirements :

- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS

- Strong expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL

- Proven experience in performance tuning

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and monitor AWS RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL) databases

- Ensure high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery

- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing

- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform

- Integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines

- Enforce security, access control, and compliance standards

- Collaborate with engineering teams on schema design and deployments

- Support incident management and root cause analysis

Required Skills :

- Strong experience with AWS RDS (mandatory)

- Expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL (mandatory)

- Proven skills in performance tuning (mandatory)

- Proficiency in SQL and execution plan analysis

- Experience with Terraform and automation

- Knowledge of backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies

- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to Snowflake or other data warehouse platforms

- Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail

- Scripting knowledge (Python/Bash)

- Relevant certifications (AWS / Oracle)
