About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Data & AI who can architect, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft Fabric. This role requires a strong technical leader with expertise in modern data engineering, analytics, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise data integration.
You will collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that enable business intelligence, AI, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate is passionate about Microsoft Fabric, has strong hands-on engineering skills, and thrives in delivering end-to-end cloud data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft Fabric Platform Engineering:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric.
- Build scalable Lakehouse architectures using OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Engineering capabilities.
- Develop robust ELT/ETL pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2.
- Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage for performance and scalability.
- Implement enterprise-grade data governance, monitoring, and security practices.
Cloud Data Engineering:
- Design and implement modern cloud-based data architectures.
- Develop batch and near real-time data pipelines from multiple enterprise sources.
- Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into unified analytics platforms.
- Build reusable frameworks for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and deployment.
- Optimize workloads for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership:
- Collaborate with solution architects to define scalable enterprise data solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation strategies.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution design workshops.
- Mentor engineering teams and promote engineering best practices.
- Drive reusable architecture patterns and coding standards.
Delivery & Agile Execution:
- Own end-to-end delivery of Microsoft Fabric solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning activities.
- Perform code reviews, performance optimization, and production support.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD implementation and deployment automation.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining engineering quality standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and consulting teams.
- Participate in solution discovery workshops and client discussions.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to business users.
- Align technical solutions with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
Nice to Have:
- Develop semantic models and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Enable Power BI Direct Lake and Fabric-native reporting capabilities.
- Design analytics-ready datasets for business users and executive dashboards.
- Support self-service analytics by implementing reusable semantic models.
- Ensure high data quality and consistency across reporting solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, or Analytics Engineering.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.

5. CI/CD implementation
- Experience integrating data from Azure SQL, SQL Server, REST APIs, SAP, Oracle, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and other enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of Azure ecosystem including Azure Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience implementing enterprise data governance, security, lineage, and monitoring.
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

1. DP-600: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
2. DP-700: Fabric Data Engineer Associate
3. DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Experience with:
1. Azure DevOps
2. Git
3. Microsoft Purview
4. AI/ML data pipelines
5. Generative AI solutions
6. Microsoft Copilot
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.
