Requirements :
We are looking for a senior technical professional with strong hands-on expertise in OT applications and field automation, covering SCADA/platform integration, control engineering, telemetry, field devices, and OT architecture.
This role can come from either the power utility domain or the water/wastewater utility domain, provided the candidate has credible experience working with operational control environments and mission-critical OT systems.
OT applications, field automation, SCADA/EMS/Historian control integration, RTU/PLC/HMI/telemetry, and OT-safe implementation across power or water utilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead or support technical design, implementation, and integration of SCADA, EMS, ADMS, and field automation systems.
- Define interface specifications, data acquisition architecture, telemetry design, and control system integration approaches.
- Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, operational cutover, troubleshooting, and production stabilization for OT environments.
- Provide OT architecture and segmentation guidance for secure, reliable control environments.
- Support tender compliance, technical solution scoping, and estimation for OT-heavy utility engagements.
- Contribute to OT platform selection, vendor evaluation, and technology assessment.
Mandatory Skills :
- 12-16 years of experience in OT / ICS / SCADA / field automation / control system engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in SCADA, HMI, RTU, PLC, historian, telemetry, and field integration environments.
- Experience in field automation and control engineering, including device integration, control system interfaces, data acquisition, monitoring, alarm/event handling, and operational cutover/testing.
- Good understanding of OT system lifecycle constraints including reliability, availability, safety, change control, and recovery considerations.
- Experience in OT architecture / segmentation / asset inventory / secure remote access / OT operations visibility.
- Good understanding of OT networking and communication concepts including IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, TCP/IP, ESP (Electronic Security Perimeter), firewalls, and other field device communication protocols.
- Experience working in either :
1. Power utility OT environments such as SCADA, EMS, DMS/ADMS integration, substation/distribution automation, telemetry, or field control systems.
2. Water/wastewater OT environments such as treatment SCADA, pump station automation, remote telemetry, HMI/process control, and water utility cyber/operational environments.
- Must have experience working on OT (SCADA & Historian) platforms from OEMs such as Geo SCADA, Siemens, GE, Ignition, OSI Pi, ABB, or equivalent.
- Ability to support technical design, interface definition, FAT/SAT, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and production stabilization.
- Ability to participate in technical client workshops and architecture discussions.
Good-to-Have Skills :
- Exposure to ADMS/DERMS integration from an OT/field/control perspective.
- Experience with substation automation / digital substations / protection visibility / secure control boundaries.
- Familiarity with IEC 62443 / NIST SP 800-82 / sector OT cyber guidance.
- Knowledge of CEII (Critical Energy Infrastructure Information), NERC-CIP standards, or equivalent regulatory compliance requirements.
- Exposure to water sector cyber guidance or electric utility compliance/security frameworks depending on domain background.
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted or hybrid deployment models (e.g., Azure) for OT platforms.
- Experience delivering in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
