ABOUT US :

Kokasa Advanced Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing engineering startup building, through its fully owned subsidiary - ChargOps Systems; indigenous Sensors, Avionics, Actuation Systems (Electro-Mechanical & Electro-Hydraulic) for Indian aerospace and defense platforms.

Our long-term mission is to become India's most important defense subsystems ODM/OEM building the product portfolio, qualification infrastructure, and engineering capability to supply precision motion control and sensing systems across Indian defense platforms.

A BRIEF IDEA OF PRODUCTS :

- Sensors - Vibration, Pressure, Thermo-Chipping, RPM, Tachometer

- Avionics - Ignition Exciter Unit

- Actuation Sub-System : Electro-Hydraulic Booster

- Electro-Mechanical Sub-Systems and higher Assemblies.

- Family of products with same or similar physics

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Product Leadership : You will be accountable for one or more of the above products Study, Reverse Engineering, Design, Development, Testing, Qualification and Certification.

- You will need to work as individual contributor, mentor, reviewer, product owner and project manager.

- Technical Ownership : Drive design decisions, architecture, and technical specifications; ensure compliance with airborne certification standards (DO-178C, DO-254, TSO, MIL-PRFs, MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-704D, MIL-STD-461E)

- Team Leadership : Break the bigger problem into smaller chunks and assign to the team member (s); Mentor and technically supervise them; conduct design reviews

- Project Management : Own schedule, budget, and deliverables for assigned products; coordinate with shared teams (Mechanical CAD, FEA, CFD, Embedded Systems)

- Preparation and Reviewing of documents like Schematic Drawings, M-Part Drawings, Balloon Drawings, Technical Specifications (TS) Document, Functional Test Procedure (FTP), Qualification Test Procedure (QTP), Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP), System Requirement Specifications (SRS), Airworthiness Certification Plan (ACP), Master Drawing Index (MDI), Bill of Materials (BOM), Test Reports, White Papers, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Defect Investigation Reports (DIR), etc.

- Proactive coordination with customer (HAL, etc.) along with RCMA and DGAQA for document submission, signing, corrections and approvals.

- Reliability Calculations and System Safety Analysis as per MIL-STD-882 or equivalent standards.

- Visiting Customer Location for Testing, Presentations, Fitment Checks and FAIs.

- Quality & Compliance : Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards as per company QMS, AFQMS and AS9100D.

- Selection of mil grade or suitable parts, components, vendors required for the project.

- Identify bottlenecks to the timelines and address them well in advance.

- Reverse Engineering & Modernization : Lead competitive analysis and legacy product reverse engineering. Also, once the product is developed, one should have a vision to create horizontal family of that product.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering or any other relevant field

- 8+ years in airborne sensor or avionics systems design, development, and certification.

- Strong Knowledge of IMTAR21 V2.0 and IMAP 2023.

- Proven expertise in one or more than one of the following : vibration sensing, pressure sensing, ignition exciter systems, rpm sensor, tachometer, thermal sensing, chipping sensing.

- Leadership experience : Mentoring, technical reviews, and cross-functional project ownership

- Excellent experience in more than any two of the following :

1. Signal Conditioning - Amplification, filtering, impedance matching, analog-to-digital conversion

2. Embedded Systems/Firmware - Microcontroller programming, real-time processing, firmware architecture

3. Sensor Physics & Transducers - Principles of measurement (vibration, pressure, temperature, speed)

4. Calibration & Metrology - Accuracy, precision, sensor characterization, test standards

5. Systems Engineering - Integration, architecture, specifications, V&V planning

6. Reliability & Quality - FMEA, fault tolerance, robustness, certification readiness

7. Testing & Validation - Functional testing, environmental (vibration, thermal, altitude, EMI), life testing
