Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer with strong experience in embedded Android platforms to develop full-stack medical device software for state-of-the-art portable ultrasound systems.

The role involves building high-quality Android applications with a strong focus on analysis and clinical documentation functionality, ensuring device interoperability, and working within a regulated, Agile-like development environment.

You will collaborate closely with ultrasound systems engineers, healthcare informatics engineers, and UX designers to translate system designs into scalable, reliable Android software solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop full-stack Android software for medical devices with focus on interoperability

- Assess technical risks and estimate development effort

- Design, implement, and document software solutions

- Perform unit, integration, and system testing

- Integrate software deliverables into the overall system

- Ensure interoperability with distributed clinical workflows

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues

- Follow Agile-like development processes and strict SDLC

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and UX teams

Required Skills & Experience :

- B.S. / B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science or related engineering discipline

- 5+ years of industry experience as a software developer

- Strong expertise in Java and familiarity with Kotlin

- Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and modern Android development practices

- Experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture

- Experience working with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and frameworks

- Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID)

- Understanding of object-relational data access designs and frameworks

- Experience in unit and integration testing using modern test frameworks

- Proficiency with Git, IDEs, and software configuration management tools

- Experience working in a regulated environment with strict SDLC is a plus

Technical Skills :

- Android : Java, Kotlin

- Architecture : MVVM / MVP / Clean Architecture

- UI/UX : User-centric design, responsive layouts, multiple screen sizes

- Performance : Android Profiler, optimization tools

- Testing : Automated testing frameworks

- Version Control : Git, GitHub / GitLab

- CI/CD : Jenkins, Bitrise, or similar

- Security : Android security best practices (encryption, secure storage)
