About the Role :
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Android AOSP Framework & Security Engineer with 5+ years of dedicated experience in Android Framework development, system services, and deep Android internals.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AOSP architecture, Android security, SELinux/SEPolicy, system-level debugging, and platform configuration, with the ability to troubleshoot issues across the complete Android software stack - from bootloader and kernel through the Android Framework to the application layer.
Experience in the Automotive Infotainment (IVI) domain is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and customize Android AOSP Framework and system services.
- Work on Android platform internals and system-level features.
- Debug issues across the Android stack, from bootloader/kernel to Framework and applications.
- Design and troubleshoot SELinux/SEPolicy domains and policies.
- Analyze and fix CTS, VTS, and STS issues.
- Work with Android configuration and build files such as BoardConfig.mk.
- Debug and resolve complex platform and security issues.
- Develop and maintain Java-based Android Framework components.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Android AOSP/Framework development.
- Strong knowledge of Android Framework, system services, and Android internals.
- Good understanding of SELinux/SEPolicy and Android security.
- Experience in debugging and fixing CTS/VTS/STS failures.
- Good knowledge of Android build and configuration files.
- Strong Java programming skills.
- Good understanding of OOP and design patterns.
- C/C++ knowledge is an added advantage.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Automotive Infotainment (IVI).
- Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity.
- Experience with Android security concepts such as permissions, firewall, cryptography, and Keystore.
