JOB OVERVIEW :

We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade machine learning and GenAI systems that sit at the heart of the PRMAI platform. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for an engineer who thrives on solving complex, real-world problems - from spend classification and supplier risk prediction to LLM-powered contract intelligence - at enterprise scale.

You will operate as a technical owner: architecting models, mentoring engineers, and partnering closely with product and engineering leadership to translate AI research into shippable, revenue-driving features. Prior exposure to SaaS, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), or Supply Chain Management (SCM) domains will be a strong differentiator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

AI/ML Solution Design & Ownership :

- Architect, build, and own end-to-end ML/AI models for procurement use cases - spend classification, supplier risk scoring, demand forecasting, and anomaly detection.

- Design and fine-tune LLM-based solutions for contract intelligence, document extraction, conversational AI, and intelligent recommendations.

- Drive model selection, experimentation, and rigorous evaluation to ensure production-grade accuracy, robustness, and fairness.

Applied Engineering & MLOps :

- Build scalable, production-ready ML pipelines covering data ingestion, feature engineering, training, deployment, and monitoring.

- Deploy and maintain models as REST APIs / microservices integrated into the PRMAI platform, optimizing for latency, cost, and reliability.

- Champion MLOps best practices - CI/CD for models, versioning, A/B testing, drift detection, and observability.

Mentorship & Technical Standards :

- Mentor junior and fresher AI/ML engineers; review code, model designs, and experiment methodology.

- Set technical standards and best practices for the AI/ML function, influencing architecture decisions across the platform.

- Partner with data engineering, product, and QA teams to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.

Research & Innovation :

- Stay ahead of emerging AI/ML and GenAI research; rapidly prototype and evaluate applicability to procurement workflows.

- Explore agentic AI, RAG pipelines, and advanced NLP techniques to unlock new product capabilities.

- Represent PRMAI's AI capability in customer/stakeholder conversations where technical depth is required.

KEY SKILLS :

Mandatory Skills :

- 4-6 years of hands-on experience building and deploying ML/AI models in production environments.

- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks: scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.

- Deep understanding of ML fundamentals - supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, model evaluation, and optimization.

- Hands-on experience with NLP and LLMs - Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and vector databases.

- Strong data manipulation and analysis skills using Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.

- Experience deploying models via REST APIs / microservices, with solid understanding of MLOps (CI/CD, model monitoring, versioning).

- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for ML training and deployment.

Good to Have Skills :

- Exposure to SaaS, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), or Supply Chain Management (SCM) domains - highly preferred.

- Experience with agentic AI frameworks and orchestration tools (LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar).

- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration - Docker, Kubernetes.

- Experience with big data tools (Spark) and streaming pipelines.

- Exposure to enterprise data security and governance practices in AI systems.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Educational Qualification :

- B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related discipline.

- Recognized AI/ML certifications backed by strong applied project experience will also be considered.

Experience :

- 4-6 years of relevant, hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, with a demonstrable portfolio of deployed models or GenAI systems.

- Experience in enterprise SaaS, procurement, or supply chain technology environments is a strong plus.
