We are looking for a Senior AI Lead Java Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java and Spring Boot, combined with hands-on expertise in AI-assisted development, AI agents, and modern cloud technologies. The role will involve building scalable backend services and integrating AI capabilities into software development and business workflows.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and REST APIs.

- Apply AI-assisted software development using tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or equivalent, with a consistent approach to code generation, validation, and code review.

- Configure and implement multi-agent workflows to support software development and operational processes.

- Integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) extensions with development tools and workflows.

- Build and integrate AI agents to automate repetitive, non-coding operational tasks.

- Work with private LLMs on AWS and leverage Amazon Bedrock where applicable.

- Design and work with vector databases and vector similarity/distance calculations for use cases such as data interpretation and product matching.

- Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.

- Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including database design and performance tuning.

- Deploy and support applications on AWS, including ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, and CloudFront.

- Work with Docker, Terraform, Maven, JUnit, Git, and CI/CD pipelines in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Follow engineering best practices for scalability, security, performance, testing, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6+ years of professional experience in Java and Spring Boot development.

- Strong hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or equivalent.

- Experience with multi-agent configurations and AI agent development.

- Experience integrating MCP extensions into development workflows.

- Experience with LLM-based solutions, vector databases, and AI/ML integrations.

- Experience with Spring Framework, REST APIs, Apache Kafka, and microservices architecture.

- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, database design, and performance optimization.

- Hands-on experience with AWS application deployment, particularly ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, and CloudFront.

- Experience with Maven, JUnit, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.

- AI certifications are highly desirable.

- Experience with Docker and Terraform is desirable.
