Role Overview :

As a Security Incident Responder at Deqode, you will be at the forefront of protecting our digital assets and client data from evolving cyber threats. This role involves actively monitoring security events, investigating potential breaches, and orchestrating rapid response efforts to mitigate risks and restore operational integrity. You will collaborate closely with our global engineering teams, IT operations, and client stakeholders, playing a critical part in maintaining a secure and resilient technology landscape for our diverse portfolio of clients. Your expertise will directly contribute to safeguarding our reputation and ensuring the continuous trust of our users and partners.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead incident response activities from detection to resolution, including triage, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review, to minimize impact on business operations and data integrity.

- Conduct in-depth forensic analysis of security incidents, identifying root causes, attack vectors, and compromised systems to prevent recurrence.

- Utilize SIEM platforms and other security tools to monitor, detect, and analyze security events, proactively identifying anomalous behavior and potential threats.

- Develop and implement effective containment strategies for various types of security incidents, including malware infections, unauthorized access, and data exfiltration attempts.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, DevOps, and legal, to coordinate incident response efforts and ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders.

- Maintain and enhance incident response playbooks and procedures, ensuring they are current, effective, and aligned with industry best practices and compliance requirements.

- Participate in security audits and assessments, providing expert insights into incident management processes and contributing to the overall security posture improvement.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Security Operations Center (SoC) capabilities, integrating new tools and processes to enhance threat detection and response.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in security incident response methodologies and lifecycle management, with a proven track record of handling complex cyber security incidents.

- Strong practical experience with SIEM technologies (e.g., Splunk, ELK, QRadar) for log analysis, threat detection, and alert correlation.

- Expertise in administering and securing Linux-based systems, including command-line tools, scripting, and system hardening techniques.

- In-depth understanding of network security principles, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network traffic analysis.

- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, enabling effective collaboration within a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess complex situations and make informed decisions under pressure.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of articulating technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences, and fostering effective teamwork.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field is preferred.

- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in Bhopal, collaborating closely with local and remote teams.
