We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scala Engineer to join our technology team in Pune.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Scala and Java development, cloud-native application design, and modern DevOps practices.

You will work on building scalable, high-performance applications, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and applications using Scala 2.13 and/or Java 21.

- Develop, test, and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS leveraging services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, SQS, ECR, DynamoDB, and RDS.

- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and support CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps to deliver scalable, resilient solutions.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and design patterns.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance of existing applications.

- Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, security, and scalability standards are met.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and incorporate them into projects where relevant.

Mandatory Skills & Expertise :

- 2- 4 years of professional software development experience.

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Java 21 or Scala 2.13.

- Strong understanding of AWS services including ECS, EKS, SQS, S3, ECR, DynamoDB, RDS, and Lambda.

- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker.

- Experience with version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

- Hands-on experience with IntelliJ IDEA for development.

- Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch or Prometheus.

- Familiarity with functional programming concepts and immutable data structures.
