Job Description : Technical Consultant
Experience : 4 - 6 Year
Location : Onsite (Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai & Bengaluru)
Key Responsibilities :
- Deploy, set up, and configure Tenable OEM tools, specifically Tenable Security Center (Tenable.sc), Tenable Vulnerability Management (Tenable.io), Tenable OT, and Nessus scanners, from scratch in client environments without requiring basic training.
- Integrate Tenable OEM software directly into enterprise infrastructures, connecting it with Active Directory (AD) for single sign-on/user access, SMTP servers for automated email notifications, SIEM tools, and ticketing platforms.
- Plan, schedule, and execute full-network vulnerability scans across servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and applications while ensuring scans do not disrupt business operations.
- Analyze complex raw scan data, remove false positives, prioritize critical vulnerabilities based on real business risk, and create easy-to-read reports for client management.
- Act as a client-facing Tenable subject matter expert by leading technical discussions, explaining vulnerability risks in plain language, and guiding client IT teams on exact steps to patch and fix security flaws.
- Fine-tune scan engine policies, update plugins, manage license allocations, and optimize scan speed across large, complex network environments.
- Verify patch implementation by running targeted re-scans and building tracking dashboards to monitor SLA timelines and compliance reporting.
- Travel directly to client premises in Ahmedabad, Delhi, and surrounding regions to perform hands-on deployment, operational setup, and face-to-face technical support.
Required Skills :
- At least 4 years of immediate, plug-and-play technical experience working with the full Tenable OEM product suite (Tenable Security Center, Tenable VM/Tenable.io, Nessus Agent, and Nessus Network Monitor).
- Deep structural understanding of the Tenable architecture, including scanner placement strategies, engine upgrades, agent deployments, credentialed vs. non-credentialed scanning, and troubleshooting failed scans.
- Hands-on practical knowledge of Active Directory (AD) integration, domain controller configurations, SMTP email relay setups, and enterprise credential management.
- Solid grasp of core network engineering, including subnets, VLANs, routing, firewall rules, port functions, and network access control.
- Comprehensive understanding of vulnerability management standards (CVE, CVSS scoring), common operating system weaknesses (Windows Server, Linux), and standard remediation workflows.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to resolve scan failures, broken network credentials, agent connection drops, and software integration errors independently.
- Excellent client management and communication skills, with the confidence to represent the company as a Senior Technical Consultant during on-site customer visits.
- Complete willingness to travel to client sites locally and regionally for short-term and long-term project deployments.
- Candidate must be willing to travel to client locations to provide hands-on technical support.
