Technical Lead - Embedded Systems (NXP Domain)
Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Technical Lead - Embedded Systems with 5+ years of deep, hands-on expertise specifically within the NXP microcontroller ecosystem. In this role, you will act as the technical spearhead for our firmware division, driving the design, development, and optimization of low-level software. You will bridge the gap between resource-constrained NXP MCUs and high-performance application processor ecosystems like Qualcomm and MediaTek, including Android-based platforms.
Note : We are looking for Immediate Joiners who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities :
- Firmware Architecture & NXP Development : Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance firmware primarily in C, with modular architecture patterns utilizing C++.
- Low-Level Driver Integration : Develop, optimize, and integrate low-level peripheral drivers (e.g., DMA, Timers, ADC, DAC, Flash) and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, USB) specifically tailored for NXP hardware platforms.
- RTOS & Memory Management : Architect multi-threaded systems within diverse RTOS environments, ensuring precise timing, task scheduling, synchronization, and aggressive low-power optimization.
- Cross-Platform Integration : Drive the integration between NXP edge microcontrollers and advanced Application Processors running Android-based systems, optimizing the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and data flow.
- Performance Optimization : Profile and optimize system performance, latency, and thermal footprints across mixed-silicon architectures, including Qualcomm and MediaTek platforms.
- Technical Leadership : Guide a team of engineers through complex hardware brings-ups, conduct strict code reviews, maintain high standards for technical documentation, and coordinate deliverables under tight timelines.
Required Experience & Skills :
- Industry Experience : 5+ years of dedicated experience in embedded systems engineering, with a proven track record of shipping production-grade firmware.
- NXP Specialization : Deep, hands-on experience working within the NXP microcontroller domain (e.g., S32K, i.MX RT, LPC, or Kinetis series) and utilizing NXP development tools (MCUXpresso, S32 Design Studio).
- Programming Languages : Expert proficiency in C programming and a strong, practical working knowledge of C++ optimized for embedded environments.
- Hardware Debugging : Expert at hardware bring-up and debugging using JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol sniffers.
- RTOS Expertise : Solid experience deploying applications on FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar real-time operating systems.
- Advanced SoC Familiarity : Experience interfacing microcontrollers with larger systems-on-chip (SoCs), specifically Qualcomm or MediaTek platforms, including interaction with Android or Linux kernel-level layers.
