SAS - Software Engineer - Java/Python

About The Job :

- Should be a polyglot with the ability to pick new skills as needed.

- Should be able to guide and mentor junior developers and peers in the team.

- Should be able to improve on processes related to quality of the software development.

- Should ensure and work closely with the development and testing teams to ensure quality software development.

- Work closely with product management to define the future requirements.

- Help the management in project scoping and execution.

Requirement :

- Experience testing n-tier web-based and data-centric solutions and currently with Cloud and DevOps environment.

- Hands-on experience in writing automation frameworks and code.

- Experience in developing enterprise grade, data intensive software solutions.

- Experience with Postgres or any other RDBMS.

- Experience and knowledge of docker, Kubernetes and cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.

- Must be familiar with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD & DevOps Processes.

- Ability to make UI recommendations based on solid understanding of user interactions.

- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.

Experience Of These Items Would Be Useful

- Experience building components designed for reuse with performance in mind.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- A minimum of 6 years of experience in all facets of software testing in a product-based software development environment.

- Experience testing n-tier web-based and data-centric solutions and currently with Cloud and DevOps environment.

- Software development experience in any of the following: Java, Python or Shell Scripts.

- Familiarity with Linux.

- Proven analytical problem-solving skills, a quick and self-learner who is driven by curiosity.

- Experience in RDBMS Database testing and Base SAS is an added advantage.

- Experience with API / GUI automation tools including coding/programming.

- Must be familiar with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Ability to make recommendations based on solid understanding of the problem resolution, troubleshooting deployment and environment and functional interactions.

- 6-10 Years with B Tech, MCA, or equivalent.
