SAP PM & PS Lead (Plant Maintenance & Project Systems)

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP PM & PS Lead with strong functional expertise in Plant Maintenance (PM) and Project Systems (PS) to support asset-intensive operations. This role will lead the design, configuration, and optimization of maintenance and project execution processes across generation and distribution assets, ensuring integration with finance, materials management, and procurement within an SAP S/4HANA (RISE) environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. PM Process Leadership :

- Lead the design and optimization of SAP PM processes including preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.

2. Plant Maintenance Configuration :

- Configure and manage :

1. Equipment and Functional Locations

2. Maintenance plans and task lists

3. Notifications and work orders

4. Breakdown, shutdown, and overhaul maintenance

3. Project Systems (PS) Leadership :

- Lead SAP PS implementation for capital and operational projects including :

1. WBS structures

2. Networks and activities

3. Project budgeting and cost control

4. Milestone and progress tracking

4. Asset & Project Integration :

- Ensure seamless integration between PM, PS, MM, and FI for materials, services, project procurement, cost postings, and asset capitalization.

5. Energy Utilities Use Cases (Preferred) :

- Support maintenance and project execution for power plants, substations, transmission and distribution networks, outages, and turnaround projects.

6. End-to-End Implementations :

- Lead or play a key role in minimum 34 end-to-end SAP PM and/or PS implementations, covering blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover, and hypercare.

7. Shutdown & Outage Management :

- Configure and support shutdown, turnaround, and outage management processes where applicable.

8. Reporting & Controls :

- Enable maintenance and project reporting for cost, progress, downtime, and asset performance.

9. Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, stores, and project teams to ensure solution adoption.

10. User Enablement & Support :

- Conduct user training, prepare functional documentation, and provide post-go-live support.

Required Qualifications :

- Experience : 712 years of hands-on experience in SAP PM and Project Systems (PS).

- Implementation Experience : Proven experience in minimum 3-4 end-to-end SAP PM / PS implementations.

Functional Expertise :

1. SAP PM (Maintenance Planning, Notifications, Orders)

2. SAP PS (WBS, Networks, Budgeting, Cost Control)

3. Integration with MM, FI, and AA

Industry Experience (Preferred) :

- Prior experience in Energy Distribution & Generation or other asset-intensive industries will be a strong advantage.

- SAP Certifications (Added Advantage) : SAP certifications in SAP PM, SAP PS, or S/4HANA Asset Management will be an added advantage.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to lead maintenance and project workstreams.

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology (B.E. / B.Tech)

- Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from top colleges preferred
