Job Description

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) Lead Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance. The role will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, integrating, and supporting SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions across enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in SailPoint IIQ, Java, BeanShell, workflows, rules, connectors, provisioning, access governance, and enterprise integrations. The candidate will work closely with IAM, security, application, infrastructure, HR, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable identity governance solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, configure, and implement SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions based on business and security requirements.

- Develop and customize SailPoint IIQ components including workflows, rules, forms, tasks, lifecycle events, provisioning policies, and identity models.

- Build and maintain identity lifecycle processes covering Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) scenarios.

- Configure and manage identity aggregation, correlation, provisioning, de-provisioning, and access certification processes.

- Develop and customize SailPoint IIQ using Java, BeanShell, XML, JSON, and other relevant technologies.

- Design and implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models and support role engineering initiatives.

- Configure and manage access request workflows, approval processes, provisioning workflows, and entitlement management.

- Integrate SailPoint IIQ with enterprise applications, directories, HR systems, ITSM platforms, and other identity sources.

- Develop and maintain connectors for systems such as Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, databases, applications, and other enterprise platforms.

- Build and consume REST APIs to support identity integrations and automation.

- Develop automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to streamline IAM and identity governance processes.

- Integrate SailPoint IIQ with ServiceNow and HR systems to automate identity lifecycle and access management processes.

- Configure and support access reviews, certification campaigns, entitlement reviews, and compliance-related workflows.

- Implement Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls and support identification, remediation, and reporting of access conflicts.

- Support audit and compliance requirements by maintaining appropriate identity governance controls, documentation, and reporting.

- Work with Oracle and SQL Server databases to develop queries, troubleshoot data issues, and support SailPoint integrations.

- Analyze application and provisioning issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.

- Monitor identity aggregation, provisioning, certification, and workflow processes and troubleshoot failures.

- Perform application upgrades, configuration changes, enhancements, and production deployments.

- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to IAM architecture and solution decisions.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure development follows established coding, security, and quality standards.

- Maintain technical documentation covering configurations, integrations, workflows, customizations, and operational procedures.

- Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD practices for SailPoint deployments and application changes.

- Support release management activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application, HR, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver IAM solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SailPoint developers and IAM engineers.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ).

- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management and Identity Governance concepts.

- Strong programming experience in Java and BeanShell.

- Good knowledge of XML and JSON.

- Strong experience developing SailPoint workflows, rules, connectors, provisioning policies, forms, and lifecycle events.

- Strong understanding of Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes.

- Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

- Hands-on experience with access requests, approvals, provisioning, and de-provisioning.

- Strong experience with REST APIs and IAM automation.

- Experience with Python and/or PowerShell scripting.

- Hands-on experience integrating Active Directory and Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID.

- Experience integrating SailPoint with ServiceNow and HR systems.

- Strong understanding of SoD, access certifications, access reviews, and audit/compliance requirements.

- Good experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.

- Experience with Git and source-control practices.

- Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms.

- Good understanding of enterprise application integration and identity lifecycle management.

DevOps & CI/CD :

- Experience managing SailPoint code and configuration through Git-based version control.

- Exposure to Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent CI/CD tools.

- Experience automating build, deployment, testing, and release processes.

- Understanding of environment management across development, QA, UAT, and production.

- Ability to troubleshoot deployment and integration issues across environments.

Good to Have Skills :

- Experience with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.

- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.

- Knowledge of Ansible automation.

- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes environments.

- SailPoint IdentityIQ certification.

- Experience with SailPoint IdentityNow or other modern identity governance platforms.

- Exposure to cloud IAM and hybrid identity environments.

- Knowledge of identity security and privileged access management concepts.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Act as a technical lead for SailPoint IIQ development and implementation initiatives.

- Provide technical direction to developers and IAM engineers.

- Review technical requirements and translate them into scalable SailPoint solutions.

- Work with architects and security teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise IAM standards.

- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to resolve complex integration and provisioning issues.

- Support estimation, technical planning, solution design, and implementation activities.

- Mentor team members and promote best practices in SailPoint development and IAM governance.

- A degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
