Job Title : RTOS Developer

Experience : 5 to 12 Years

Location : Bengaluru

Job Summary :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications in an RTOS environment.

- Develop firmware components for wireless communication devices and embedded platforms.

- Debug and resolve complex Wi-Fi protocol, interoperability, and certification issues.

- Contribute to the implementation of the latest IEEE 802.11 standards and Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) specifications.

- Develop and maintain Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and Peripheral Driver Layer (PDL) modules.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including firmware, hardware, validation, and system engineering teams.

- Analyze system-level issues using debugging tools and identify root causes.

- Optimize embedded software for performance, memory utilization, and power efficiency.

- Maintain and enhance build systems, Makefiles, and automation scripts.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and software development best practices.

- Support integration, testing, and validation activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and implementation documents.

Required Skills :

- 5 to 12 years of experience in Embedded Software Development.

- Strong hands-on experience with RTOS-based software development.

- Excellent understanding of RTOS concepts, including :

1. Task scheduling

2. Threads

3. Interrupt handling

4. Mutexes

5. Semaphores

6. Queues

7. Timers

8. Memory management

- Strong programming skills in C and embedded firmware development.

- Hands-on experience with HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) and PDL (Peripheral Driver Layer).

- Experience debugging Wi-Fi protocol and certification issues.

- Good understanding of IEEE 802.11 wireless networking standards.

- Experience maintaining build scripts and Makefiles.

- Familiarity with embedded debugging tools such as JTAG, GDB, Trace32, or equivalent.

- Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Zephyr RTOS.

- Knowledge of Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) certification processes.

- Experience with Linux-based embedded development environments.

- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.

- Experience working on wireless chipsets or networking products.

- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams.

- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
