Role Overview:
As a Robotics Validation Engineer based in Bangalore, you will serve as a critical bridge between complex algorithmic design and real-world hardware performance. You will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive validation strategies for autonomous systems, ensuring that motion planning, perception, and control modules meet rigorous safety and performance standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams of embedded developers and system architects, you will drive the transition from simulation-based testing to physical deployment, directly influencing the reliability and efficiency of next-generation robotic platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated test frameworks to validate robotic system performance, ensuring high-fidelity results across diverse operational scenarios.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated test suites for motion planning and control algorithms to ensure precision and safety in dynamic environments.
- Execute rigorous verification cycles on embedded systems, identifying bottlenecks and stability issues within RTOS-based architectures.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to troubleshoot system-level failures, providing actionable insights to refine product design.
- Create and manage comprehensive documentation for validation protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.
- Optimize existing automation pipelines to reduce regression testing time and improve the overall throughput of the validation lifecycle.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing high-performance software using C++ and Python, with a focus on scalable test automation.
- Deep technical understanding of ROS (Robot Operating System) and its application in complex robotic architectures.
- Proven ability to validate motion planning algorithms and control systems within real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Strong expertise in embedded system verification, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical findings to stakeholders across different engineering disciplines.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field, complemented by 8 to 10 years of professional experience in robotics validation.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in Bangalore, collaborating seamlessly with global teams to meet project milestones.
