We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Python, Django, system architecture, database design, ETL pipelines, and strong data engineering skills.

This is a hands-on role requiring ownership, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced product engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.

- Own system design, architecture, and key technical decisions.

- Design relational databases and create optimized schemas.

- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, data transformations, and complex data workflows (experience with any ETL orchestration framework; Airflow preferred).

- Use Airflow or similar tools for orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring.

- Deploy and manage backend services on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS preferred).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews.

Must-Have Skills :

- 7 - 10 years of backend development experience.

- Strong proficiency in Python, Django, and REST APIs.

- Experience with system architecture & database modelling.

- Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines using medallion architecture, orchestration frameworks, and data processing tools (preferably Airflow).

- Strong data engineering skills data modelling, transformations, pipeline design, and data quality.

- Proficiency with PostgreSQL.

- Understanding of Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployments.

Nice-to-Have :

- Experience with Celery/RQ, Redis, microservices, or advanced data engineering workflows.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and communication skills.

- High ownership, reliability, and ability to work independently.
