Role Summary :

Responsible for Android/AOSP development, Automotive Android integration, and SoC platform bring-up for next-generation automotive systems. The role involves owning Android platform topics, integrating BSP/HAL components, developing system-level/Application level features, debugging complex HW/SW issues, and coordinating with SoC, Linux, middleware and application teams.

- Develop, customize and integrate AOSP/Android Automotive (AAOS) for automotive SoC platforms.

- Own Android Framework, HAL, system services and platform integration activities.

- Work closely with Linux/BSP, SoC, hardware and application teams for platform bring-up and integration.

- Develop and integrate AIDL/HIDL HALs, JNI and native C/C++ components.

- Integrate and debug display, audio, camera, connectivity, storage, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other SoC peripherals.

- Analyze and resolve system-level Android, kernel, BSP and HW/SW integration issues.

- Perform performance, stability, boot-time and memory optimization at the platform level.

- Customize Android build/configuration and manage AOSP/Soong/Make integration.

- Work with SoC vendors such as Telechips for issue analysis, patches and platform integration.

- Participate in architecture/design reviews, code reviews and technical discussions.

- Drive assigned Android/SoC topics independently from requirement development integration debugging delivery.

- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team. Support release, defect resolution, and production issue analysis.

Skill Set :

- 6+ years of experience in Android development, preferably Automotive Android.

- Strong hands-on experience in Android Framework & AOSP

- Strong Java/Kotlin and C/C++ programming skills.

- Experience with Android HAL (AIDL/HIDL) and JNI.

- Good understanding of Android architecture, system services & Binder IPC.

- Experience in Android BSP/SoC integration and board bring-up.

- Hands-on experience with Android build system (Soong/Make) and AOSP customization.

- Good knowledge of Linux Kernel, Device Tree & Android drivers.

- Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS)/Automotive Infotainment.

- Experience integrating display, audio, camera, connectivity, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, storage or other SoC peripherals.

- Strong Android system-level debugging using ADB, logcat, dumpsys, systrace/perfetto, etc.

- Experience with Git, Gerrit and CI/CD.

- Ability to independently own Android/SoC topics and drive issues to closure.
