Rainier Softech - Kotlin Multiplatform Developer

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM and KMP)Developer to build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using shared Kotlin codebases. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Kotlin, Android development, and hands-on experience delivering scalable, high-performance mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM and KMP)

- Share business logic across Android and iOS platforms using common Kotlin modules

- Develop Android UI using Jetpack Compose / XML and collaborate with iOS teams for Swift/SwiftUI integration

- Write clean, reusable, and testable Kotlin code

- Integrate REST APIs, third-party SDKs, and backend services

- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA teams

- Participate in code reviews and follow best development practices

Mandatory Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in Kotlin / Android development

- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM)

- Solid understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow

- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, MVVM architecture

- Knowledge of Gradle and dependency management

- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to iOS development (Swift / SwiftUI)

- Experience with Compose Multiplatform

- Unit testing and automation testing experience

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice to Have :

- Published apps using KMM

- Experience with Firebase, analytics, or cloud services
