Role Overview :

A Senior Software Engineer with a passion for quality, and proven experience of full stack software development and design, is required for a variety of projects being delivered. You will be a valued member of the FNO development team, consistently delivering to challenging business objectives, with a focus on testability, robustness, and performance. You will work on real projects alongside experienced engineers and will be expected to take on some mentoring and coaching of less experienced engineers in the organisation.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :

- Software design and code development using Test-driven development.

- Guide and lead the development of parts of the software system.

- Contribute to CICD and DevOps practises.

- Support all agile development ceremonies.

- Coach and mentor junior developers.

- Lead on Issue investigation and resolution.

- Define and implement technical roadmaps for key areas of focus in the code base.

- Implementation of all applicable testing for software.

- Lead / Implement code reviews where appropriate.

Total Experience : 4 - 6 years

Tech Stack :

- Java, Spring Boot or another OO language.

- Bespoke built enterprise scale cloud-native applications.

- API development and technologies.

- GraphQL (schema design and federation).

- Microservices architectures, RESTful APIs and message queues.

- Source code management (Git/GitHub/GitLab).

- Modern CI/CD tools and techniques.

- Observability and monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog).

- Kubernetes or other cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure).

- MySQL, Kafka, Okta, Redis, Apache Solar.

Additional Requirements :

- Experienced advocate for practices such as Test Driven Development.

- Passion for mentoring and technical coaching of developers.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices to improve development velocity, system reliability, code quality, and team productivity.
