Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Qlik Lead to assume technical leadership over our entire Business Intelligence (BI) platform, focusing on the architecture, development, and governance of solutions built on Qlik Sense and/or QlikView.

This role requires deep expertise in large-scale data modeling, performance engineering, advanced application design, team mentorship, and strategic alignment of the Qlik environment with enterprise data strategies.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Focus :

Architecture and Strategy :

- Provide technical leadership and governance for the entire Qlik platform architecture, including server sizing, scaling strategies, environment setup (Dev, QA, Prod), and disaster recovery planning.

- Drive the long-term BI strategy for the organization, ensuring the Qlik environment aligns with enterprise data standards, cloud strategies, and future analytical needs.

- Lead the implementation of complex, multi-application solutions, designing efficient data flows from source systems to the Qlik environment.

Advanced Development and Data Modeling :

- Design and enforce best-in-class Qlik scripting (ETL) standards, ensuring data load scripts are optimized, reusable, and maintainable across large-scale applications.

- Architect highly optimized and complex data models (e.g., QVD layers, Master Calendar, Canonical Models) to support advanced Set Analysis and associative querying for high-performance dashboards.

- Develop advanced security models using Section Access and external authentication integration (e.g., LDAP, SAML) to manage access control at row and column levels.

Performance Engineering and Optimization :

- Serve as the subject matter expert for Qlik performance tuning, performing root cause analysis on latency issues related to the Qlik Associative Engine, server utilization, and network factors.

- Monitor and manage the Qlik Management Console (QMC) rigorously, overseeing task scheduling, system resource allocation, and license management for optimal server health.

- Establish and enforce standards for efficient front-end design and visualization to ensure rapid rendering and optimal user experience, even with large volumes of data.

Team Leadership and Mentorship :

- Mentor, guide, and technically review the work of junior and mid-level Qlik developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, documentation requirements, and performance best practices.

- Lead code reviews and technical design discussions, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable BI solutions are deployed across the organization.

- Act as the final technical escalation point for critical production issues, data discrepancies, and complex calculation errors.

Stakeholder Management and Delivery :

- Collaborate with senior business leaders and Data Governance teams to define complex analytical requirements and critical KPIs, translating them into technical implementation plans.

- Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from requirement analysis through deployment and post-production support, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality gates.

Preferred Skills :

- Qlik Certification at a Professional or Expert level (e.g., Qlik Sense Data Architect Certification) is mandatory.

- Extensive experience in Qlik Server and QMC Administration for large, production-critical environments.

- Deep knowledge of Qlik NPrinting for report automation and distribution, including complex report development.

- Proficiency in integrating Qlik with cloud data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse) and understanding cloud deployment strategies (Qlik Cloud).

- Strong technical background in relational databases and expert ability to write and optimize complex SQL and stored procedures.

- Experience with governance frameworks for Qlik development, including managing migration and deployment using tools like Qlik Sense CLI or third-party extensions
