Python/Django Lead - System Architecture

Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Lead backend architecture and development using Python and Django

- Design high-level system architectures focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability

- Review code and enforce best practices for clean, maintainable, and secure code

- Mentor and guide backend engineers; provide technical direction and feedback

- Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Backend & System Design :

- Design and implement REST APIs

- Build scalable services capable of handling high throughput and large datasets

- Optimize application performance, database queries, and system bottlenecks

- Design fault-tolerant, resilient backend systems

- Experience designing multi-tenant architectures (logical or physical isolation)

DevOps & Infrastructure :

- Work closely with DevOps on deployment, monitoring, and scalability

- Hands-on experience with :

- CI/CD pipelines

- Docker and containerized applications

- Cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)

- Understand production monitoring, logging, and alerting

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Must Have :

- 5 to 8 years of backend development experience

- Strong expertise in Python and Django / Django REST Framework

- Solid understanding of :

a. RESTful API design

b. Relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL)

c. ORM performance optimization

- Proven experience designing scalable, high-performance backend systems

- Strong system design and architecture skills

- Experience leading or mentoring engineers

- Understanding of security best practices (auth, authorization, data protection)
