About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to design and build high-performance, cloud-native applications and backend services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, API engineering, AWS cloud services, and PostgreSQL, along with a passion for writing clean, scalable, and well-tested code.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing Python applications and services.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend systems using FastAPI and/or Django frameworks.

- Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and modern deployment practices.

- Design and optimize data models, database schemas, and queries using PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks.

- Write unit, integration, and automated tests using PyTest to ensure application reliability and code quality.

- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.

- Participate in system design discussions, technical reviews, and architecture decisions.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

- Implement secure coding practices and contribute to improving application resilience and maintainability.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and engineering process improvements.

Required Skills:

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python application development.

- Strong proficiency in FastAPI and/or Django frameworks.

- Solid understanding of REST API design principles and backend service development.

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based application deployment.

- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, database design, query optimization, and ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy and Django ORM.

- Experience with PyTest and automated testing methodologies.

- Good understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean coding principles.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and modern development workflows.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

- Exposure to Docker, container orchestration, and microservices-based architectures.

- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

- Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, and performance tuning techniques.

- Experience working in Agile development environments and cross-functional teams.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
