Role Overview :
We are looking for a Healthcare Data Science / Analytics Manager who can drive data-driven insights across healthcare operations, clinical outcomes, and business performance. This role focuses on advanced analytics, reporting, and translating complex healthcare data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead healthcare analytics initiatives across clinical, financial, and operational domains.
- Analyze large healthcare datasets (claims, EHR/EMR, patient data).
- Develop dashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks for leadership teams.
- Perform :
1. Patient journey analysis
2. Cost & utilization analysis
3. Quality and outcomes measurement
4. Provider performance analytics
- Work with cross-functional teams (clinical, operations, finance).
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve patient care and reduce costs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
- Present insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior analysts and guide analytics best practices.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors/Masters in Statistics, Data Analytics, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in data analytics, with strong exposure to healthcare.
- Strong experience in :
1. SQL
2. Excel (advanced)
3. Python / R (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with BI tools :
1. Power BI / Tableau
- Strong understanding of healthcare data :
1. Claims data
2. EHR/EMR systems
- Knowledge of healthcare KPIs (LOS, readmission rates, cost per patient, etc.).
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in payer/provider analytics.
- Exposure to predictive analytics (nice to have, not mandatory).
- Knowledge of healthcare standards (ICD, CPT coding).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
