As our AI Native Software Engineering Manager, you will be the company's foremost practitioner of agentic AI software development practices compressing entire development cycles and turning ideas into production in days rather than months owning the full engineering lifecycle from idea to production across both internal enterprise transformation and externally-facing product lines.

You will lead a team of forward-deployed engineers embedded across Provana's business units and product divisions. You will be equally at home architecting a multi-agent workflow that automates legal document processing and pairing with an engineer on a complex PostgreSQL schema migration. Hands-on coding is not optional it is core to how you lead.

This role sits at the intersection of organizational transformation and product innovation. You will compress the distance between what AI can do and what Provana ships at speed and at scale.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN :

INTERNAL ENTERPRISE TRANSFORMATION (Org-Wide) :

- Lead engineering for AI-driven transformation across Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Accounts replacing manual workflows with rule bases and/or intelligent, agentic systems that deliver measurable efficiency and productivity gains.

- Define and enforce a spec-driven development culture internally ensuring every project begins with a precise, versioned specification before a single line of code is written.

- Establish BMAD-based multi-agent workflows that mirror real team structures (Analyst PM Architect Dev QA), enabling fast, high-quality delivery by small teams.

- Build context engineering standards: like CLAUDE.md files, organizational skill libraries, MCP server integrations, and agentic toolchains that become institutional assets in the pod based FDE model.

EXTERNAL-FACING PRODUCTS & SERVICES:

- Architect and deliver agentic capabilities within Provana's legal tech products including foreclosure legal support, dispute resolution, compliance management, and automated e-filing systems.

- Drive the next generation of Healthcare RCM products, embedding generative AI and agentic workflows into billing, coding, credentialing, denial management, and patient access pipelines.

- Lead development within Provana's Agentic BPM platform building compound agent systems for process orchestration, workflow automation, and operational intelligence at enterprise scale.

- Extend Provana's Speech AI and Conversational AI capabilities designing and shipping production-grade voice and language products for contact center, compliance monitoring, and customer interaction domains.

- Collaborate with product and domain teams to ship AI features that directly improve client outcomes: reduced denial rates, faster cycle times, improved compliance coverage, and lower cost-to-serve.

TEAM LEADERSHIP & ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE :

- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of forward-deployed engineers across product and internal domains defining career paths, conducting code reviews, and setting quality standards.

- Act as the primary technical thought leader on AI-native development practices: agentic software development, swarm architectures, context engineering, and spec-driven workflows.

- Partner with executive and product leadership to translate business priorities into engineered solutions with clear ROI, defined success metrics, and delivery timelines.

- Build and maintain Provana's internal AI engineering playbook a living system of standards, tools, agent skills, and practices that every engineer can leverage.

- Evaluate and adopt emerging AI coding tools, models, and frameworks; maintain hands-on proficiency with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, and next-generation agentic platforms.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- 8 - 12 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a technical lead or engineering management role.

- Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, or equivalent agentic coding tools as core development workflow.

- Deep hands-on coding ability you write, review, and architect production code daily, not just in theory.

- Solid data engineering skills: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, vector databases, RAG pipeline design, and data modeling for AI applications.

- Demonstrated experience with agentic software development: building, orchestrating, and deploying multi-agent systems in production environments.

- Experience building with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) including prompt engineering, tool use, eval harnesses, and production observability.

- Fluency in spec-driven development structured PRDs, versioned specs as source of truth, and context engineering discipline.

- Generative AI integration experience: RAG systems, structured generation, agent memory, multi-step reasoning, and output validation.

- Proficiency with the BMAD method or equivalent multi-agent orchestration frameworks for structured software delivery.

- Strong communication skills ability to write clear technical specifications, architectural decision records, and executive-level summaries.

- Strong Azure platform skills including Azure OpenAI, AKS, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL / Cosmos DB.

- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive engineering culture across cross-functional teams.
