About MantriAI :

MantriAI is a boutique search firm for technology companies. We are running this mandate for a client - a venture-backed AI product company headquartered in Bengaluru, building for a global user base in the millions. All applications come to MantriAI first. We screen, and only shortlisted profiles reach the client. Company details are shared after the screening call.

The role :

This is the company's first product manager. The product you own is the company's own internal platform : the tools, automations and data the team runs on. The mandate is to help a lean team do the work of a much larger one.

Your customers are the internal teams : support, marketing, hiring, engineering, and the founders themselves. You find where their time goes, decide what to fix first, and get it fixed. Much of this you build yourself with low-code platforms, scripts, APIs and LLM APIs.

When something needs real engineering, you write the spec and make the case for engineering time. No team reports to you and none is planned. The role reports into the founding team.

What you will do :

- Treat internal teams as customers : sit with them, map where their time goes, find the repetitive work and the broken processes

- Decide what gets built, what gets bought, what gets refused, and in which order

- Build much of it yourself : workflow automations, dashboards, admin tools, and LLM-based workflows for support triage, document handling and reporting

- When something needs real engineering, write the spec, make the case for engineering time, and see it through

- Own the internal data layer : the dashboards and reports the founders run the company on, and the plumbing behind them

- Measure adoption and hours saved. Retire what stops being used

What we are looking for :

- Around 2 - 6 years in product, engineering, founder's office or internal tools roles where you personally decided what to build and then built or shipped it.

- Product judgment you can show : problems you chose over others, things you refused to build, things you bought instead, tools you built and later retired

- Working hands : SQL, APIs, and at least one automation or internal-tools platform such as n8n, Make, Zapier or Retool. Comfortable shipping with AI coding tools.

- Real LLM work since 2024 : API integrations, agents or AI-assisted builds that ran in production beyond a demo

- Able to write a clear spec and argue for it with people who have other priorities

- Based in Bengaluru, or ready to relocate. In office, six days a week.

Good to have :

- Time at a young AI product company, or an early-stage startup where you owned operations tooling

- A portfolio, a GitHub profile, or a written record of tools you have built

Logistics :

- Full-time role. Six-day work week. WFO in Bengaluru

- Notice period of 30 days or less preferred

- 3. Client rounds (preferably in-person)
