Role Overview :

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will serve as the technical anchor for high-impact engineering initiatives, driving the design and implementation of scalable, robust software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to translate complex business requirements into elegant system architectures.

Your day-to-day will involve setting engineering standards, mentoring high-performing teams, and ensuring that our technical infrastructure remains resilient, performant, and aligned with long-term business objectives. This role is pivotal in shaping the technical roadmap and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-centric software products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the development of complex distributed systems to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and seamless scalability for global users.

- Define and enforce rigorous software architecture standards and design patterns to maintain code quality and system maintainability across multiple product lines.

- Lead the transition and optimization of monolithic applications into modular microservices architectures to improve deployment velocity and system reliability.

- Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to align technical strategy with product vision, ensuring that engineering efforts directly contribute to business growth.

- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers by conducting thorough code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and frameworks to solve complex engineering challenges and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures within high-traffic environments.

- Proficiency in full-stack development using Node.js, React.js, and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of their ecosystem and performance optimization techniques.

- Advanced knowledge of GraphQL for building efficient and flexible API layers that support complex data requirements.

- Strong command of modern design patterns and architectural principles to build decoupled, testable, and scalable software components.

- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making across the organization.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead technical initiatives from conceptualization to production.

- A minimum of 8 to 15 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably within fast-paced, product-focused organizations.

- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, working effectively with distributed teams based in Hyderabad and beyond.
