Principal Software Development Engineer - Python Full Stack - 8 - 10 years - Bangalore

We are looking for an experienced Principal Python Full Stack Developer to lead technical delivery, architecture and end-to-end development of scalable software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Python full-stack development, system design, cloud technologies and Generative AI, along with experience in client engagement, technical leadership and offshore project delivery.

Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end technical delivery of projects from offshore, ensuring quality, scalability and timely execution.

- Design and develop scalable, secure and high-performing full-stack applications using Python and modern frontend technologies.

- Own system architecture and design, including technology selection, APIs, microservices, integrations and scalability.

- Provide hands-on technical guidance, mentor developers and drive engineering best practices and code quality.

- Engage directly with clients to understand business requirements, propose technical solutions and lead technical discussions.

- Coordinate with onsite and client teams, acting as the primary offshore technical lead.

- Oversee database architecture, data modelling, SQL performance and system integrations.

- Identify opportunities to integrate Generative AI, LLMs and AI-powered capabilities into applications.

- Drive technical estimations, solution design, code reviews, technical documentation and engineering standards.

- Identify technical risks and dependencies, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements :

- 8 - 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, preferably in an IT consulting environment.

- Strong hands-on expertise in full-stack development, including Python, frontend technologies, APIs, microservices and cloud-based applications.

- Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, design patterns, scalability, security and performance optimization.

- Good knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, database design, data modelling and SQL.

- Experience with modern cloud platforms and DevOps practices.

- Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and manage stakeholder expectations.

- Proven experience in technical leadership, team mentoring and offshore delivery management.

- Practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, AI-enabled application development and AI integration patterns.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, product owners and other stakeholders.
