Principal Engineer - Java Technologies

Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Principal Software Engineer to lead our software development team in building scalable, well-designed, and architected systems for our product development company. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of development, with extensive experience in designing and building large-scale systems.

What you will be doing ?

- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java-based backend systems for our product development company.

- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in implementing best practices, architecture, and design principles in software development.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our product architecture, technology stack, and infrastructure.

- Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, security, and scalability of our systems.

- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering, and propose new ideas and innovations to improve our products and processes.

From your experience, you should :

- 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend systems.

- Proven experience in designing and building scalable, well-designed, and architected systems.

- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, design patterns, and code reviews.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience in mentoring and leading a team of software engineers

- Solid understanding of database technologies, such as SQL, NoSQL, and caching mechanisms.

- Strong understanding of web technologies, such as HTTP, REST, and SOAP.

- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
