Role Overview :

As a Principal Engineer in Data Science, you will serve as the technical architect and strategic leader for our advanced analytics and AI initiatives in Gurugram.

You will bridge the gap between complex business challenges and cutting-edge machine learning solutions, working closely with cross-functional product teams, executive stakeholders, and engineering squads to drive innovation.

Your day-to-day involves setting the technical roadmap for scalable AI systems, mentoring high-performing data scientists, and ensuring our models deliver tangible business value.

By spearheading the development of sophisticated NLP and Generative AI frameworks, you will directly influence how our customers interact with our platforms, ultimately shaping the future of our data-driven product ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deploy end-to-end Machine Learning pipelines that process large-scale datasets to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.

- Lead the design and implementation of Generative AI and RAG-based applications to enhance user engagement and automate complex decision-making processes.

- Mentor senior data scientists and engineers by fostering a culture of technical excellence, rigorous code reviews, and innovative problem-solving.

- Collaborate with product managers to translate ambiguous business requirements into robust technical specifications and measurable data science outcomes.

- Optimize model performance and infrastructure efficiency to ensure high availability and scalability across our production environments.

- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and research papers into our existing stack to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated mastery in Python and its core data science ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn, to build production-grade analytical models.

- Proven ability to design and scale NLP solutions, with deep expertise in modern Generative AI frameworks, RAG architectures, and LangChain.

- Strong track record of leading complex technical projects and influencing cross-functional teams through clear, persuasive communication and strategic thinking.

- Exceptional analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.

- A solid academic foundation in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, complemented by a history of continuous learning.

- Ability to thrive in a high-growth, hybrid work environment in Gurugram, demonstrating the flexibility to manage distributed teams and evolving project priorities.

- Possession of 10-15 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering roles.
