Principal Engineer Backend Systems

The Opportunity :
Were looking for a hands-on Principal Engineer to lead the design, development, and scaling of the backend systems that power our AI-first platform. Youll be a key contributor in a high-growth environment, working closely with the Founders and cross-functional teams to shape the future of enterprise AI.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in 0-to-1 environments, bring deep backend expertise, and love solving complex challenges with a sense of urgency.

What You'll Do :

- Architect and scale robust, secure, and high-performance backend infrastructure.

- Own and deliver core backend services end-to-end from design to deployment.

- Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Leadership to translate vision into execution.

- Elevate engineering standards through code reviews, technical mentorship, and best practices.

Our Tech Stack :

- Languages : Python, Go, Java, TypeScript

- Frameworks & Infra : FastAPI, Node.js, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

- DevOps : Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform

- AI Tooling : FAISS, LangChain, vector databases, OpenAI APIs

What Were Looking For :

- 610 years of experience in backend or distributed systems engineering.

- Deep expertise in microservices architecture and cloud-native systems (AWS/GCP).

- Strong command of at least one backend language (Python, Go, Java, TypeScript).

- Proven experience in building scalable systems from scratch.

- Familiarity with AI/ML integration and modern API stacks is a big plus.

- Startup or B2B SaaS product experience preferred.
