Role : Principal Data Engineer 9+ Years Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Gurugram

We are looking for an experienced Principal Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure data engineering, Databricks, Python, SQL, and PySpark, with a proven ability to deliver AI-ready data solutions while leading high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities :

1. Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design scalable data solutions aligned with business objectives.

2. Lead, mentor, and guide the data engineering team while driving engineering best practices and technical excellence.

3. Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion frameworks supporting batch and real-time data processing.

4. Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Scientists, and Product Owners to enable AI-driven analytics and decision-making.

5. Drive continuous improvement, maintain enterprise data platforms, and ensure secure, scalable, and high-quality data architectures.

Requirements :

1. 9+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or related domains with strong Azure expertise.

2. Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, Azure Data Services, and Databricks.

3. Strong understanding of Databricks Unity Catalog, data governance, security, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps.

4. Experience designing scalable, secure, and AI-ready data platforms with strong stakeholder management skills.

5. Excellent communication, leadership, ownership, and problem-solving abilities with experience leading multiple initiatives.
