Practice Head - AI/ML

Role Overview :

As the Practice Head for AI/ML, you will serve as the strategic leader responsible for defining and executing our global artificial intelligence roadmap. You will work closely with C-suite stakeholders, engineering leads, and data science teams to translate complex business challenges into robust AI-driven solutions.

This role is pivotal in scaling our AI capabilities, overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning initiatives, and ensuring our delivery models remain at the cutting edge of industry standards. You will drive the growth of our practice, mentor senior technical talent, and ensure that our AI/ML offerings consistently exceed client expectations in performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the delivery of enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and technical requirements.

- Lead the strategic expansion of the AI/ML practice by identifying emerging trends in Generative AI and Agentic AI to maintain a competitive market position.

- Establish and enforce rigorous MLOps and AI/ML testing frameworks to ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of deployed models.

- Manage cross-functional teams of data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence across our Chennai, Coimbatore, Pune, and Bangalore hubs.

- Cultivate high-level relationships with key stakeholders and clients to drive business growth and secure long-term strategic partnerships.

- Oversee the integration of cloud-native AI services to optimize infrastructure costs and improve model deployment velocity for global clients.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale AI/ML practices with 18 to 23 years of professional experience in the technology services industry.

- Advanced proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks, with a proven ability to guide teams through complex model development and deployment lifecycles.

- Strong command over MLOps, cloud computing architectures, and the implementation of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions in production environments.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.

- Proven track record in talent management, including mentoring senior-level architects and building high-performing, distributed engineering teams.

- Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work environment, coordinating across multiple office locations including Chennai, Coimbatore, Pune, and Bangalore.

- A postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field is preferred, reflecting a strong foundation in algorithmic thinking and research.
