Role Overview:
As a Power Management Firmware Verification Engineer, you will be at the heart of our hardware-software integration efforts, ensuring that our next-generation silicon delivers industry-leading energy efficiency. You will spend your day architecting complex verification environments, debugging firmware-level power states, and collaborating closely with silicon design, architecture, and software teams to validate power-saving features.
By rigorously testing power management algorithms and RTOS-based firmware, you directly influence the battery life and thermal performance of our products, ensuring a seamless and reliable experience for millions of end-users globally. This role is based in Bangalore and requires a hands-on approach to solving critical system-level challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust verification test benches using SystemVerilog to validate complex power management firmware logic and ensure silicon-level reliability.
- Develop automated test suites using Python to streamline the verification process, reducing time-to-market for critical power-saving features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze power consumption profiles and identify firmware bottlenecks that impact overall system efficiency.
- Execute comprehensive verification plans for RTOS-based firmware, ensuring that power state transitions and wake-up sequences function flawlessly under diverse operating conditions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design reviews, fostering a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement across the firmware organization.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in firmware verification methodologies, with a deep understanding of power management architectures and low-power design principles.
- Proficiency in Embedded C and RTOS environments, enabling you to debug complex firmware interactions and bridge the gap between hardware and software.
- Advanced scripting capabilities in Python, coupled with strong SystemVerilog skills for building scalable verification environments.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of communicating complex technical findings to stakeholders across different engineering disciplines.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field, complemented by 6-10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, on-site environment in Bangalore, working effectively within a team-oriented culture to meet aggressive project milestones.
