Power BI Developer - SQL/ETL/Power Query M

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Build and optimize data models, write efficient DAX measures, and implement advanced analytics within Power BI.

- Connect Power BI to various data sources including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

- Optimize Power Query transformations, data pipelines, and ETL processes for performance and scalability.

- Implement row-level security (RLS), role-based access, and governance policies in Power BI Service.

- Mentor and guide junior BI developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

- Keep up to date with the latest Power BI features and industry trends in BI/analytics, recommending improvements to enhance reporting capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and business intelligence.

- Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), SQL, and data modeling.

- Solid experience in integrating Power BI with on-premise and cloud data sources.

- Experience with ETL processes, data cleansing, and transformation techniques.

- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices in Power BI.

- Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to convey complex data in a clear and actionable manner.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse).

- Familiarity with Power Platform tools like Power Apps or Power Automate.

- Knowledge of DevOps for Power BI, source control, and deployment practices.
