Role Overview

As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing business intelligence solutions that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization.

You will own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle from data extraction and modeling to visualization and performance optimizationensuring high-quality analytics that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build interactive and user-friendly dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Dataflows.

- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and time-intelligence functions to meet complex business logic requirements.

- Create and maintain Power Query transformations (M Query) for data shaping, cleansing, and enrichment.

- Design Paginated Reports for pixel-perfect, print-ready reporting needs.

- Optimize report performance, ensuring fast load times and efficient data structures.

- Design and maintain robust data models following best practices (star schemas, normalization, relationships, incremental refresh, etc.

- Pull and integrate data from various systems including :

- Retail media platforms

- Salesforce

- Adobe Analytics

- SAP

- Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other marketing tools

- Work closely with engineering and data teams to manage large datasets and ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness.

- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.

- Perform data profiling, anomaly detection, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).

- Collaborate with database administrators to optimize queries and ensure efficient data pipelines.

- Develop both operational dashboards (daily activity, campaign status, KPIs) and strategic, executive-level reports (ROI, profitability, long-term trends).

- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and reporting solutions.

- Provide insights related to marketing performance, customer engagement, spend efficiency, and profitability.

- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver intuitive visualizations.

- Work with ETL processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and automation.

- Collaborate with teams working on cloud data platforms such as :

1. Azure Synapse Analytics

2. Snowflake

3. Amazon Redshift

- Assist in migrating legacy reports or dashboards to modern BI environments.

- Implement robust data governance including access control, workspace management, and dataset certification.

- Ensure adherence to visualization best practices, design standards, and usability guidelines.

- Conduct peer reviews, performance testing, and documentation of BI solutions.

- Train business users on Power BI usage, report interpretation, and self-service capabilities.

Required Qualifications :

- 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, or data analytics roles.

- Expert-level skills in Power BI, including :

1. DAX (advanced)

2. Power Query / M

3. Dataflows

4. Paginated Reports

- Strong SQL experience (joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures).

- Hands-on experience integrating data from multiple enterprise tools/sources.

- Strong understanding of KPIs, marketing metrics, campaign attribution, and ROI analysis.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate insights clearly
