Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced PLC/DCS Engineer with 49 years of experience in control and safety system testing, commissioning, and validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with PLC/DCS platforms, industrial communication protocols, and testing of real-time and safety-critical control systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC/DCS control system applications.

- Perform manual and automated testing of PLC/DCS systems and develop scripts for test automation where required.

- Work with control and safety systems such as Foxboro, Honeywell, ABB, Yokogawa DCS and/or Triconex, HIMA, FSC, Modicon PLC.

- Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for PLC/DCS and safety systems.

- Support system installation, commissioning, startup, and site deployment activities.

- Perform functional, system, integration, and regression testing of control and safety systems.

- Verify and validate real-time, multi-processor, embedded, and high-integrity systems.

- Test and troubleshoot industrial communication interfaces and protocols including Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC, Serial I/O, and related protocols.

- Analyze system requirements and develop test cases, test procedures, and test scripts.

- Ensure requirements traceability and compliance with defined testing and development methodologies.

- Perform unit, functional, integration, and system-level testing and document test results.

- Support configuration management, defect tracking, root-cause analysis, and resolution of system issues.

- Collaborate with engineering, automation, commissioning, and customer teams throughout the project lifecycle.

- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and commissioning records.

- Communicate technical findings and project status effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 49 years of experience in PLC/DCS engineering, testing, validation, or industrial automation.

- Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS test systems, including manual and automated testing.

- Experience with one or more major DCS platforms such as Foxboro, Honeywell, ABB, or Yokogawa.

- Experience with PLC/safety systems such as Triconex, HIMA, FSC, or Modicon.

- Strong experience in FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and system testing.

- Understanding of control systems, safety systems, and real-time embedded systems.

- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC, and Serial I/O.

- Exposure to testing and validation of safety-critical or high-integrity systems.

- Experience with requirements traceability, configuration management, and structured testing methodologies.

- Knowledge of unit, functional, integration, and system testing.

- Scripting/programming experience for test automation is preferred.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and customer-facing teams.
