Job Title : Python Engineer - PySpark

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Python Engineer with strong PySpark expertise to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable data processing solutions using Python and Apache Spark. You will work on large-scale data pipelines, optimize data processing frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing applications using Python and PySpark.

- Build and optimize ETL/data processing pipelines for large datasets.

- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software and data processing issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Utilize version control systems such as Git and work efficiently with collaborative development workflows.

- Leverage tools like GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity where applicable.

- Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability.

Mandatory Skills (Non-Negotiable) :

- Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark

- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Spark and Python

- Overall 7+ years of IT experience

- Experience in designing and developing scalable data engineering solutions

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience with Git version control and GitHub Copilot

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working in Agile development environments

- Knowledge of data engineering best practices and performance optimization

- Familiarity with distributed computing concepts

Candidate Profile :

- Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Python Engineer, or a similar role.

- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

- Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.
