About the Role :

We are looking for a detail-oriented ETL Testing Engineer with strong expertise in ETL testing, SQL, and database validation. The ideal candidate should have experience validating complex data pipelines, working with relational databases and mainframe systems, and collaborating within Agile development teams to ensure high-quality data delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases for data warehouse and data migration projects.

- Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

- Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation.

- Perform data quality checks and identify discrepancies across source and target systems.

- Work with RDBMS databases and Mainframe environments for testing and validation activities.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand business requirements and data flows.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Log, track, and resolve defects while ensuring timely delivery of quality releases.

- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6 years of experience in ETL Testing.

- Strong hands-on experience in SQL with the ability to write complex queries for data validation.

- Good understanding of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).

- Experience working with Mainframe applications and data validation.

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python programming for test automation or data validation is preferred.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to Data Warehouse (DWH) testing.

- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar.

- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.).

- Familiarity with automation frameworks and scripting is an added advantage.

Education :

- UG : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related discipline.

- PG : Any Postgraduate qualification is preferred.
