In this role, you will lead engineering team(s) that engage deeply in building core features of the Pega Launchpad platform.

The platform is cloud native i.e. , multi-tenant, stateless, scalable, observable, seamlessly upgradable, highly performant and fault tolerant.

You will work to transform the platform by integrating GenAI capabilities at its core and enabling the Vibe coding paradigm to build applications on it.

Additionally, Pega enables seamless connectivity to diverse data sources while enhancing model-driven data design capabilities, ensuring robust integration and optimized workflows.

- You are an experienced technical leader with a strong background in Java and enterprise software development.

- You understand large-scale system design, data-driven architectures, and cloud-native principles.

What Youve Accomplished :

- 9+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in Java, enterprise applications, and cloud-native design.

- Proven experience building data-centric systems, data abstraction layers, and scalable data access frameworks.

- Strong understanding of model-driven architecture, schema design, and managing complex application data models.

- Consistent track record of delivering high-quality software that meets functional and non-functional requirements.

- Experience managing escalations, analyzing issues in real-time, and minimizing risk to deliverables.

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage changing requirements, and assign responsibilities effectively.

- Experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams with a focus on continuous improvement.

- Strong architectural skills with hands-on experience designing performance-oriented, scalable systems.

- Collaboration experience with cross-functional teams to refine processes and enhance engineering excellence.

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Java, Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot).

- Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

- Strong understanding of cloud-native application design (AWS/Azure/GCP experience preferred).

- Proficiency in RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and data modeling principles.

- Experience with ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).

- Knowledge of scalability, performance optimization, and application tuning.

- Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and enterprise architecture principles.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (general awareness only; no deep DevOps responsibilities included).
