About the Job

We are looking for a Data and Analytics Engineering Lead to join a fast-growing product-based organization in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing enterprise-wide data engineering strategies, including end-to-end migration planning, data ingestion, transformation, governance, and modernization using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and other modern data platforms.

Key Responsibilities (KRA) :

- Lead the overall data engineering strategy, architecture, and roadmap for cloud-based analytics platforms.

- Design and drive large-scale data migration initiatives to Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake.

- Oversee data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and transformation frameworks.

- Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across all enterprise datasets.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, business, DevOps, cloud, and security to enable data-driven decision-making.

- Establish coding standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks to streamline data operations.

- Manage and mentor data engineering teams, enabling skill development and performance improvements.

- Implement and enforce data access control, compliance, and security policies aligned with enterprise and regulatory standards.

- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency in Azure environments.

- Evaluate and integrate modern tools, automation frameworks, and technologies to enhance data engineering processes.

- Drive stakeholder engagement, provide technical leadership, and ensure delivery of high-impact data solutions.

- Monitor platform performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives for data systems and workflows.

Required Experience & Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- 812 years of experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, and cloud-based data architecture.

- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and modern data warehouses.

- Proven experience designing and executing enterprise data migration and modernization strategies.

- Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT orchestration, pipeline optimization, and data architecture patterns.

- Experience leading high-performing engineering teams and managing large-scale data initiatives.

- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, metadata management, cataloging, and data quality standards.

- Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks, CI/CD, and DevOps for data engineering.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) as they relate to data lifecycle and access management.
