Senior Engineer :

React | Next.js | Node.js | Python

The Role :

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong full-stack experience across React, Next.js, Node.js, and Python to join our team.

Reporting to the Head of AI Engineering, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining high-quality multi-tenant application UIs and supporting services.

This role demands a strong understanding of secure application development, tenant isolation, data privacy, usability, and scalable UI architecture.

You will work closely with designers, product managers, QA, and client services teams to deliver robust, maintainable, and secure digital experiences.

Effective communication and proactivity are essential.

You must be comfortable engaging directly with teams, clearly articulating technical decisions, flagging risks early, and driving solutions forward with minimal supervision.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop multi-tenant application UIs using React and Next.js, with Node.js and/or Python services as needed.

- Implement and maintain multi-tenant application architecture, ensuring tenant isolation, configurable experiences, code reusability, and consistent behavior across customers.

- Ensure application features meet security, privacy, usability, and data-handling requirements across tenants.

- Follow practical accessibility best practices for internal application UIs, including semantic markup, keyboard usability, and readable visual contrast.

- Apply security best practices including CSP headers, dependency auditing, secure authentication, and vulnerability management.

- Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate designs into responsive, performant front-end code.

- Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, write and maintain unit tests, and mentor junior developers.

- Use AI coding assistants as a productivity aid when appropriate, applying sound engineering judgment, reviewing generated code, and maintaining responsibility for its correctness, security, and maintainability.

- Proactively communicate progress, blockers, and technical risks to product managers and client services teams.

- Write clear technical documentation covering architecture decisions, API contracts, deployment processes, and tenant configuration.

- Work with CI/CD pipelines, staging environments, and release management workflows, partnering with DevOps as needed rather than creating or owning the pipelines.

Must Have :

- 7+ years of professional web development experience with a strong portfolio of delivered projects.

- Deep proficiency in React and Next.js, including server-side and client-side rendering, routing, state management, and API integration.

- Working proficiency in Python, with the ability to read, debug, test, and extend existing backend services, APIs, and automation code.

- Strong production experience building multi-tenant application UIs and integrating front-end applications with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

- Working knowledge of practical web accessibility, including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, readable contrast, and common automated checks.

- Strong knowledge of security best practices for web applications, including OWASP Top 10, CSP, CORS, and secure data handling.

- Experience with multi-tenant architectures, including tenant-aware routing and configuration, authorization boundaries, shared component libraries, and design systems.

- Proficiency in modern TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, SCSS, and responsive design, with production experience in React and Next.js.

- Experience with Git-based workflows and a working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern hosting platforms.

- Hands-on experience writing unit tests and a practical understanding of how automated tests support reliable delivery.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting technical approaches to non-technical stakeholders.

- Proactive and self-directed. Able to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive work forward without waiting to be asked.

- Experience working in an agency environment managing multiple concurrent projects.

Good to Have :

- Experience implementing tenant-specific configuration, theming, feature flags, or role-based access controls.

- Familiarity with modern state management, data-fetching, and caching patterns for complex application UIs.

- Experience with Node.js backend services, serverless functions, or broader API development.

- Knowledge of product analytics, observability, and tag management for web applications.
